Acedia: Process

 This post is about the process of the sin of sloth. Since the animal that simbolyzes this sin is the goat I tried to represent it. Futhermore, to reinforce the message of this sin I added some cobwebs to the drawing.

This was the final result:

I made two sketches for this sin. The first was in the beginning, I still was not sure how the collection would be:

I really liked the sketch but I thought that would not be accurate with the rest of the collection so I made another one:

I started by drawing only a goat, which corresponded with the sketch I had preivously made. However I felt like something was missing so I drew a body of a human with the face of a goat:

Because I had already painted in black the background I had to do several layers of white so that the nude colour I was going to use wouldn't fade and look different. I also started by adding a first layers in his face:

After this, I painted the next layers of his face using different tones of grey. I thought about painting it with brown, but I did not like how it was looking so I chose to change the colour:

I did not like how everything was grey so I made the horns brown, the same colour of his eyes and nose. Furthermore, I added the cowebs but I thought that they were too light so afterwards I had to painted them with black acrylic mixed with water:

This was the final result:

I will take better photos to upload the painting in my website. Having said that, I used once again two flat pencils (n.º 4 and 8) and a sheet of paper with 400gm.
