Ira: Process
Through this week I had the opportunity to finish the paintings that were still missing. My favourite was the sin of wrath, in which I represented the Celtic bear gddess Artio. This was the final result:
This was the inital sketch that I made:
I really liked the sketch and I thought that it woud look interesting if it looked as if the bear was coming out of the painting. Keepping this in mind I did the initial drawing:
Then I added the first layer. For this I mixed a lot of water with the acrylics:
I did not like the colour so I painted it with a different tone and added some darker lines to the fur. I also started to paint the blood and eyes:
Then I added some more details using lighter tones:
Later, I added more shadows and painted what was left:
I am really proud of this piece specially because of how I was able to represent the blood. In order to do this painting I used once again only two flat pencils from the brand Milan (number 8 and 4), acrylic and an A2 size paper with 400gsm.
