Reflection: Art Portfolio One

I believe that I have grown a lot not only as an artist but also as a person in this term. I discovered a lot about mysef throught this project as well as my abilities. I learned with other artists and made a lot of research, which made me improve also my technique and project. During this term I made a project about the 7 Deadly Sins, in which I had as a theme the Expressionism. I was really worried in the beginning about the outcomes and accuracy of the overall collection, but as the time passed by I was getting more and more confident about it. I had to paint for several weeks and had to do at least two of the paintings over again, but it was all worth it. 

In this term I had to make a lot of research about other artists, which helped me to broaden my approach to the project.  Through my research I learned about amazing artists such as : William Turner, Otto dix, Paul Cadmus, Vladimir Zuev as well as Georgia O'Keefee, Alfred Stieglitz, Odilon Redon, David Bowie throught the lectures we had. It was really interesting and this will definetely help me in the future with other projects.

This term also gave me the opportunity to understand who I am, what inspires me and what I want to be. During our sessions we had several tasks to help us understand this, which I believe that for a student of a course like Fine Art is really important to know what motivates. 

Keeping this in mind, I believe that I improved a lot this term not only in terms of technique but also research. I am looking forward for the next term, to see how much I will be able to improve till the end of the year. For this reason, I would like to repaint the collection when I finish my course to see how much I would have improved in 3 years.
