Development of ideas: exercise

Taking into account that I have already made several drawings of Amaterasu digitally I thought that now I should change the media to watercolours, which is the one that I am going to use in my final project. I only haven't done it so far because it is faster for me to draw in the computer, However we're already on week 6 so it is time to start to finalise my sketches and start to do the final outcomes.
For this reason, I made three different drawings based on my previous sketches, using the same colour palette:

I also made this sketch using black and red india ink to try out the paper (as you can see this paper is different from the one I used in the first three skecthes:

Since these were only skecthes and colour studies I am quite happy with them, but I expect to improve it for my final drawing. Furthermore, I am thinking about using only the india ink since I felt like it recalls more the japanese prints but I am still not sure yet, I will need to make more studies with the other kami to see if a limit colour palette works for every artwork.

  1. Some good sketches here Sara. I like the way you're changing your materials to develop your work and how you're planning your time as well.
