Planning and Sketching: Kitsune

It is already week 9 therefore and I am at the end of my project. During the last week I finished my 2D outcomes(which I will post the process during this week), the sketches of the 3D outcome and right now I am doing my sculpture. In this post I will share the sketches I made which have been helping me while I am doing the final outcome.

This is what I plan to achieve with clay - a representation of  a kitsune:

These were some studies that I made of a woman's face in a  simple way, which I believe will help me to represent it more according to the reality:

In the next sketch I made two different poses and a study of the face/expression of the figure:

Then I made another sketch of the body and this time I divided her body into seven parts. This exercise helped me to have a better understanding of the anatomy and it was a way to confirm if what I was doing was anatomically correct:

These were some studies of the clothes, in which I explored different options:

I believe that all these studies were fundamental for the final outcome and will lead to a smaller margin of error in terms of representing the human figure correctly.
